Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview
At IDT we want every learner to feel confident in their investment. If a student discovers within the first 15 calendar days that the course is not right for them, they may be eligible for a refund—provided the eligibility conditions below are met.
2. Eligibility for a Refund

Time frame | A written refund request must reach us within 15 days of the official course start date (Day 1 counts as the first calendar day). |
Attendance | The student must have attended 100 % of all scheduled classes held during those first 15 days. Attendance is verified via sign-in sheets or online session logs. |
Coursework | Any assignments scheduled in that period must be submitted on time. |
Payment in good standing | All fees due at enrolment (monthly or three-month advance) must have been paid in full and cleared. |
Note: Students who miss even one class in the first 15 days, arrive more than 15 minutes late, or fail to submit required tasks will not qualify.
3. Non-Refundable Situations
We cannot issue a refund when:
“Change-of-mind” outside the 15-day window – deciding the course is no longer of interest after the period has lapsed.
Partial attendance – missing or skipping initial classes, regardless of reason.
Voluntary withdrawal for personal commitments, job changes, travel plans, etc.
Code-of-conduct violations resulting in suspension or expulsion.
Promotional or discounted offers if specific terms state “non-refundable.”
Force-majeure delays (e.g., internet outage, public holidays) that do not exceed 10 % of scheduled class hours.
4. How to Request a Refund
Email accounts@idt.com.pk or submit the Refund Request Form in your student portal.
Include:
Full name
Course title (e.g., “Advanced Digital Marketing”)
Date of first class
Reason for refund (brief)
IDT’s Accounts Team will review your attendance and coursework records.
Decision & confirmation arrive within 7 business days.
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 10–15 business days (bank processing times may vary).
5. Refund Amounts
Monthly plan: 100 % of the first-month fee.
Three-month advance (15 % discount): full amount minus the cost of classes already delivered (prorated at the undiscounted monthly rate).
Processing fee: No extra fee unless stated during enrolment. Banking surcharges from your card provider are outside our control.
6. Course Postponement & Transfers
If you are suddenly unable to continue but don’t want a refund, you may defer to the next batch once, free of charge (subject to seat availability).
Transfers to another IDT course must be requested within the same 15-day window and will be evaluated case-by-case.
7. Policy Updates
IDT reserves the right to amend this policy to comply with changes in local regulations or institutional guidelines. Any updates will be posted on https://idt.com.pk and emailed to current students.
